Bike Station launches major new project

The Bike Station has received a £750,000 Climate Challenge Fund grant from the Scottish Government to carry out a major project promoting cycling and sustainable commuting in Edinburgh over the next 15 months with a target of cutting 4,847t of CO2.

The project will work with small to medium-sized employers in the city, working with their employees to assess their travel habits and work towards more sustainable ways of commuting. We will be providing very practical assistance, from free bicycle loans to free trial Lothian Buses Ridacards; electric bikes to cycle training. Our partners include, amongst others, CTC Challenge for Change, Lothian Buses, the Edinburgh Bicycle Co-operative, the City Car Club, Cycling Scotland, the EST and Sustrans.

More information will soon be posted on our website, but if you or your company would like more details, please contact the Bike Station to register your interest.
