If you're looking to attend something straight away then Fix Your own Bike lets you get hands on, with trained mechanics to hand to help point you in the right direction. It runs every Wednesday from 4pm - 8pm (last entry 7pm) and every Saturday from 12pm - 4pm at the Bike Station and costs just £4 an hour.
Maintenance Classes 2017
Do you want to know more about your bike and learn some tricks and tips on how to keep it in peak condition? Are you keen to get your hands dirty and find out how to fix a puncture or carry out some minor adjustments on your bike?
We can help you! Take part in our course at The Bike Station where, working with our professional mechanics and other cyclists in a nice and relaxing atmosphere, you will learn skills useful for any cyclist.
To take part in the course, you will need to bring your bike. Please note, as it's a hands on course you probably will get dirty, so don’t wear your best dress or suit!
During the course you will work on your own bike so you will learn what is relevant to YOUR bike, and how to fix YOUR bike. However if you don't have a bike, that's not a problem, just let us know and we will sort something out for you. Also - if you have a specialist bike (Brompton, disk brakes, etc) please let us know when booking.
The course is divided into two 2 hour sessions. Each session costs £35 per person, and cover different aspects of basic maintenance. There is no obligation to book both sessions: you can choose whichever is more relevant to your needs and existing skills.
As a special gesture all our participants will be able to purchase any new tools and accessories that they need, with a 10% discount on the evening of the course.
As an additional special offer, anyone who books both sessions, will receive a special goodie bag worth more than £15, containing some must-have cyclist essentials: a bottle of bike oil, a can of GT85 and a puncture repair kit).
To book, please phone 07928483194 (Monday - Friday, 10am - 5pm) or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note places are limited to 6 per class.
