The Bike Station's main aim is to help people start and keep cycling, and that begins with the bicycle. With the emphasis on secondhand bikes, there is no more cost effective and ecological way to get a bike.
We sell all kinds of secondhand cycles from top end racey road bikes to mud plugging mountain bikes, to kids bikes and trailers but due to the nature of our charity, we can't guarantee you'll find exactly what your looking for on your first visit. Generally speaking we always have a wide range of bikes for cycle commuting, and aim to have as many bikes on the shop floor as possible. However, as our stock changes on a week-to-week basis then if you're looking for something a little special, feel free to call us in advance.
When you buy from us, you can be sure of the quality. That’s because we’re approved by Revolve – Scotland’s national accreditation for organisations that sell quality refurbished and reconditioned goods. And as an organisation we’re fully committed to providing great products, good value and excellent customer service.
All of our bicycles are fully serviced and reconditioned by fully qualified expert bike mechanics and all come with a three-month full warranty (that covers everything but punctures) for your peace of mind. We only repair and refurbish a bike we would cycle ourselves, so we guarantee you'll get a great cycling experience.
The average price of an adult's bike is around £100, but prices start at £75.
Children's bikes are priced by wheel size : £20 for a 12" wheeled bike, £25 for a 14", £30 for a 16", £35 for a 20" and £40 for a 24" wheeled bike.
Every penny spent at the Bike Station helps support our work promoting cycling in all its forms.
We have free parking in front of the shop if you're coming by car so you can easily transport your new wheels home.
