It's nearing European Week of Waste Reduction 2014, which runs from the 22nd of November until the 29th. To celebrate we are holding a Bicycle Amnesty with the aim of collecting as many unwanted bikes, parts and accessories as possible.
The Bike Station will be extending their collection times and can pick up bikes from your home or workplace on the following days:
Saturday 22nd November: All Day
Monday 24th of November: All Day
Wednesday 26th of November: Evening
Saturday 29th of November: All Day
Each participant will receive a voucher for 20% off new bikes and servicing at The Bike Station!
To arrange a collection of unwanted bicycles during our extended hours for the European Week of Waste Reduction then call 0141 248 5409 and reference the date you wish to have your bike collected on.
We are keen to work with businesses across Glasgow to offer collections from the workplace. If you are interested please get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org referencing 'Bicycle Amnesty'. The organisation that collects the most bikes will receive a bicycle maintenance kit and track pump!
This year we are looking for kids bikes in particular so that we can facilitate a series of Kids Bike Swaps we will be holding alongside The Bike Station partners Play on Pedals.
We are grateful for all donations no matter the condition as all bikes donated will be either reconditioned and given a second lease of life or recycled responsibly!
