Mark Sydenham
Mark Sydenham is the Bike Station manager, having been with us since 2004. Because of the Bike Station he was named number 11 on the Top 50 Scotsman list of people working for a Sustainable Scotland. Ruairidh MacGloneRuairidh MacGlone is our cycle training co-ordinator. Ruairidh works with other organisations providing cycle training and cycle promotion activities to their staff/clients/employees etc, everything ranging from 1 to 1 cycling lessons to Commuter Cycle Training. John Askham
John Askham is the Bike Station workshop manager and has been with the Bike Station for seven years. He is a qualified bicycle mechanic with experience of other bike shops. He runs our workshop, making sure that every bicycle is repaired to the highest quality. John's email is john@thebikestation.org.uk
Steve HyndSteve Hynd is the training co-ordinator, who runs all our training programmes, including the Build Your Own Bike courses, as well as being a cycle trainer, taking groups out cycle training, both on road and off road at Glentress. Steve is a qualified mechanic and maintenance instructor, and can be contacted on steve@thebikestation.org.uk
Rodney ServiceRodney Service is the warehouse manager, running the Bike Station warehouse processing bikes as they come in, managing the flow of bikes in and out, the stripping of old bikes that cannot be repaired and keeping the workshops stocked with spare parts. He works with our team of volunteers, guiding them through the process of dismantling bicycles.
Here are our mechanics. Between them they have over 70 years' experience of working on bicycles.
