Volunteering at the Bike Station

The Bike Station has a team of around 50 volunteers who are central to our work promoting cycling and increasing bike recycling.

The volunteer team run the shop, help with the Fix Your Own Bike sessions, dismantle non-repairable bikes, sort, save and stock salavaged parts, as well as a lot more besides!

If you would like to volunteer with the Bike Station please download an application form which also contains more information about what volunteering with us entails. (You will need to save it first before completing it - and then email it to info@thebikestation.org.uk)

We can't always guarantee a volunteer position, but we will endeavour to match you to a slot when one becomes available. Volunteers must be aged 16 or over and unfortunately we cannot offer work experience or one-off placements.

In 2003 we won a Partners in Volunteering Award from Volunteer Development Scotland, and since then several of our volunteers have gone on to win awards for their time volunteering with the Bike Station.
