Donating a Bike

The Bike Station is a charity committed to preventing waste and keeping bikes in circulation, we do this through refurbishing donated bikes and giving them a new lease of life. Not every bike that is donated to us is in a condition to be refurbished, for this reason we aren't able to accept every donation that comes through our shop doors.

Our mechanics will briefly assess donations as they arrive, we reccomend taking a look at our handy guide below on bikes we do not except.

You can drop off a bike at one of the following locations during our opening hours:

  • Edinburgh: 473 Gorgie Road, Edinburgh, EH11 3AD

  • Perth: 284 High St, Perth PH1 5QS

Telling the story of your bike

When you donate a bike, you can help us capture its story. Simply print and complete our bike story form (or pick up a copy in-branch if you don’t have access to a printer) and share any memories, adventures or history linked to your bike. We add these to the “Our Stories” section of our website, so we can celebrate the journeys bikes have already been on — and so new owners can discover where their bike’s story began as it continues through new hands and fresh adventures.
