Moving out of 250 Causewayside
The rising rent costs meant staying at 250 Causewayside wasn’t an option. Moving out of 250 lets us keep serving our community and make cycling more accessible.

We will be moving out of our Causewayside branch by the 31st of March 2025.

You can stay up to date by following us on social media or regularly checking our website blog for news and updates.
What bikes/parts do you have for sale right now?
Our second-hand bikes, parts and accessories are donated to us, so our stock always varies depending on what is donated and what gets sold.
For this reason, we are unable to provide information about specific items via email or phone and we recommend visiting our store instead.
How can I schedule a bike repair?
If you need your bike repaired, please contact us on 0131 668 1967 (Tollcross), 0131 281 5419 (Gorgie) or 0173 844 4430 (Perth).
We are unable to provide a quote before our repair mechanic has inspected the bike in person.
Do you have bikes for kids?
Looking for a kids bike? The Wee Bike Library allows families to access kids bikes for free an exchange them for the next size up as their kids grow. You can sign up for the Wee Bike Library here: https://weebikelibrary.myturn.com/library/

Do you accept donations?
The Bike Station is a charity committed to preventing waste and keeping bikes in circulation, we do this through refurbishing donated bikes and giving them a new lease of life. Not every bike that is donated to us is in a condition to be refurbished, for this reason we aren't able to accept every donation that comes through our shop doors.

Our mechanics will briefly assess donations as they arrive.

We cannot accept your bike if:
-
The bike has been sitting outside for more than 6 months.
-
The moving parts on the bike have rusted solid.
-
‘Abandoned’ bikes from closes/stairwells.
-
We do not accept donations of electric bikes unless they have a Shimano or Bosch motor. If you have an electric bike you wish to recycle, please drop it off without the battery.
By donating a bike you help us increase accessibility to affordable bikes, support our community team to improve health and wellbeing, and promote a greener economy.
When can I bring my bike in for donation?
Anytime we're open at Gorgie! See our opening hours here.
I want to donate my bike but I can't bring it to you, do you collect?
While we still offer bicycle collection services, our transition from Causewayside to Tollcross impacts our lead time on this service. Please expect several weeks before we can arrange a collection time.
If you'd like to access our collection services, please fill out this form.

What is Dr. Bike?

We cannot fix major repairs, but if we spot one we'll write you a 'Doctor's Note' with the details of the repair needed.
