The Bike Station exists to remove barriers to people choosing cycling. Trans+ people have always been part of cycling and their voices and experiences deserve to be heard.
Trans+ lives enrich cycling and we’re proud to stand by them. We will continue to advocate for their safety, visibility and full inclusion.
We are listening, learning and acting alongside our trans community members.
Our accountability is not just in words but in our work: building safer spaces, amplifying trans leadership, and ensuring the joy of cycling is open to every rider.
We call on our communities, cycling organisations; local, regional and national, to actively support for trans rights and ensure cycling is inclusive for all.
We especially call on charities and award bodies to continue to include the Trans+ community in the eligibility for their awards. While we support women’s specific awards and recognise the need to amplify women’s achievements, this isn’t possible without including the trans+ community.
