Perth Community Hub FAQs

What’s changing at The Bike Station in Perth?

We’re evolving how Bike Station Perth operates so we can deliver even more community cycling impact across the city. This means we’re focusing more of our team’s time on programmes that help people access bikes, skills and support, especially families and those facing barriers to cycling.

Why are these changes happening?

This year we’re expanding our community cycling work in Perth through programmes like Shifting Gears, Wee Bike Library, and Kids Bike Life. This shift helps us reach more people, strengthen local partnerships, and deliver deeper impact across Perth.

When will the community hub be open?

Wednesday, 12:30pm - 2:30pm, Thursday 3pm to 5pm, Friday 3pm to 5pm, Saturday 1pm to 5pm

Will The Bike Station still sell bikes in Perth?

Yes — we’ll still be selling refurbished bikes in Perth through our new pop-up bike sale model.

When is the next bike sale?

Our first Perth pop-up bike sale will take place on: 1st and 2nd May 2026

We’ll announce future sale dates on our website and social media.

What is a pop-up bike sale?

A pop-up bike sale is a dedicated event where you can browse and buy refurbished bikes at affordable prices. It allows us to offer great bikes to the community while also focusing our team on delivering cycling programmes across Perth.

What kinds of bikes will be available at pop-up sales?

We’ll have a range of refurbished bikes available, including bikes for commuting, leisure cycling and family riding. Availability will vary depending on stock, but we aim to offer a strong mix of options at every sale.

How can I stay updated on upcoming sale dates?

The best way to stay updated is to follow us on social media and check our blog, where we’ll post pop-up sale dates and announcements.

What community programmes are being expanded in Perth?

We’re growing our work across Perth through programmes including:

  • Shifting Gears

  • Wee Bike Library

  • Kids Bike Life

These programmes support people to access bikes, build confidence cycling, develop skills, and enjoy the benefits of active and sustainable travel.

Who is supporting this work?

Our community work in Perth is supported by funding from the Gannochy Trust, helping us deliver more for local people and expand cycling access across the city.

How does this benefit the Perth community?

These changes allow us to focus our resources where they create the biggest impact; supporting people to cycle, building confidence and skills, reducing barriers to transport, and contributing to healthier, more connected communities.
